An hour later there was a knock at the door. Carmen answered it Kevin walked in. "hey how was golfing?" Carmen asked. "It was fun....nick won." Kevin said. Carmen laughed a little. "What's that smell? It smells like a tropical breeze," Kevin said sniffing the air. "Uh either you have a way weird sense of smell. ...Or it could be my new perfume" she sniffed the top of her shirt. "Yep it's me!" she said. Since she was still dressed in a t-shirt and shorts she thought it wouldn't hurt to put on a little perfume before he came, so she didn't seem like such a bum. "So what did you guys do today?" Kevin asked as they took a seat on the couch. "Well me myself and I went on an adventurous journey from my room to the living room then back to the living room watching TV, listening to music, and using my hairbrush as a microphone." She said. "Your friends went shopping without you huh?" "Yeah pretty much." They both laughed. "Oh wait I have something for you to try!" she said jumping up and running to the kitchen. She came back with a plate that had a slice of chocolate cake on it. "Here it's my homemade double double chocolate cake with a dash of raspberry sauce cake." She said handing Kevin the plate. He looked down at it. "Uh...." "Oh just try it its fine I promise it doesn't have exlax (the stuff that makes you go to the bathroom lol) in it or anything" she said. He took a bite and looked back at her. "You don't like it do you?" she asked. "No I. ...Love it! Its delicious now all it needs is a glass of milk and it'd be perfect." He said with a mouth full of cake. She ran to the kitchen and pulled a glass of milk out of the mini fridge that she had already prepared. "Here you go!" she said handing him the glass. "Wow thanks" he smiled with a mouth full of chocolate on his teeth. "Uh kev...you got a little something something in your teeth" "oh...sorry" he licked his teeth and continued finishing the cake. "Did you want some?" Kevin asked. "Oh no im good I already ate like half the cake earlier..." she smiled. "Sorry I look so bummish...." She added. "You don't look ...bummish...you look nice." He said with a smile. "I look nice in a t-shirt and pajama shorts? okay sure.." they both laughed. Eventually she found herself watching a scary movie sitting way closer to Kevin then she expected to be sitting. But for some reason she didn't mind. Kevin seemed more scared from the movie then she was. Probably because she had seen this movie like 5 times already she just pretended she had never seen it so she could watch it with Kevin. "Aaaah!" he let out a scream.... "Uh I mean aaah" he said it in a more manly voice this time. Carmen tried to hold in her laugh. "Have you seen this before or something?" he asked. "What...no...okay yeah...maybe...5 times." She looked down. "Oh well then why'd you wanna watch it again. She scooted away from him a little bit noticing she was sitting literally with their shoulders touching. "Oh I don't know I just felt like watching a scary movie." She said she blushed slightly. Kevin noticed her scoot away. "Oh I see cause you wanted to get scared and have me comfort you right?" he said smiling a huge grin. "Oh yeah that's exactly what I was going for" she said in a sarcastic voice. He placed a friendly arm around her. "There do you feel less scared now" he said. "Oh yes I thought the monsters from the TV were going to jump out at me but now I know you'll protect me." She said with the same amount of sarcasm. Nick: I wanna pick the movie! Brandie: *smiling* Haha. Okay. As Nick put in Finding Netherland so he could watch it for the millionth and one time, Joe was across the room sitting on the floor. He looked at Brandie with such concentration, it was a good thing Brandie didn't notice. He noticed things he'd never noticed before. She really was a beautiful girl. While Brandie was talking to Nick, Joe saw that Brandie had the most radiant smile. She was thin, but not too thin. Brandie had long legs, even though she was short. The one thing that really caught Joe's attention, was her eyes. They were an amazing bright green. Joe turned his attention to the TV which was now playing Finding Netherland. Again. *Brandie's point of veiw* Nick: STUPID REMOTE! How do I pause this thing?! I need to make the popcorn! Kevin: *laughing* Brandie: *goes over to Nick and pushes the pause button* There ya go Nick. Nick: Thank you! Who wants to come with me to make popcorn? Brandie: I will! Brandie and Nick ran into the kitchen, sliding on their socks, to go make the popcorn. Joe followed Brandie's every move until she disappeared into the kitchen with Nick. Kevin: Joe, you okay? Joe wasn't paying attention. He had his arms behind his head and his gaze was focused towards the heavens. Joe was thinking about how he'd never noticed Brandie's beauty before. Kevin walked over to Joe and moved his hand in front of his face, Kevin: Earth to Joe! Joe snapped out of it and took his arms out from behind his head. He sat up. Joe: Yeah? Kevin: Are you okay? I need ONE MORE comment to really post this, but I was done waiting for it. Anyways, here it is! Episode 15: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next day, Wednesday, Asma and Nadyne were trudging along the sidewalk after a grueling evening of homework towards the Jonas house. "I swear, if I'm forced to do another linear equation ever again, I will shoot myself," Nadyne groaned. "Before you shoot yourself, shoot me!" Asma said. The girls sighed and reached the boys's house. They walked up the porch stairs and knocked on the door. Joe answered the door, face coated in flour. Asma and Nadyne took one look at Joe and burst into hysterics. "Oh, haha, you girls can laugh. You try baking a cake with Frankie and Kevin," Joe said, wiping his face. Nadyne and Asma walked into the house, still laughing. "Oh yeah, come in. I don't mind," Joe said, speaking to the air in front of him. He closed the door and walked back into the kitchen, where Frankie and Kevin were blending a chocolate mix in a bowl. Frankie looked up and waved and the bowl was about to be sent flying into the air until Kevin saved it. "Whoo! Score one for K2!" Asma said, hugging Kevin in hello. "Hello there," Kevin said. Asma and Nadyne took their seats at the breakfast bar as they watch Kevin, Frankie, and Joe clamor around the kitchen. "Uh, where's Nick?" Asma asked at random. "He's out with a friend today, I think," Kevin said, without looking up. Asma nodded and she remained silent as she watched Joe put the cake into the oven. The 5 settled into the living room as the cake sat in the oven. "So, you two want to stay for dinner? We're ordering out, so I don't think our parents would mind," Kevin asked. Asma and Nadyne shrugged. "Er... yeah, sure. Why not?" Nadyne said. Asma nodded. "Now, if ony Nick would get here," Frankie said. Right on cue, Nick walked through the front door. "I'm home!" He said. He stepped into the living room with a smile on his face. "Uh, hi! Asma. Nadyne." He said. The girls smiled. "Hey," Nadyne said. "Hiya," Asma added. "So, where were you?" Joe asked. "All you said is that you were going out and that's all." He said. "Just hanging out," Nick replied, plopping down on the couch next to Frankie. "With...?" Kevin inquired. "Selena," Nick said simply. Asma looked at Nick and her smile faltered, but she looked back at the blank television screen. "Oooh, Seleeeeena," Joe crooned. Nick shoved his brother. "Shut up," He said defensively. Nadyne laughed and Asma subconciously started twirling her hair in her finger. "SO. Are you two going on a date soon?" Nadyne asked. "I repeat, shut up," Nick said, though a very small smile played on his face. "AHA! So you ARE going on a date," Joe said, pointing a finger at Nick. Asma winced and she leaned back into the couch, where Nadyne and Joe also sat. Asma suddenly got up and walked into the kitchen. Kevin looked after her worriedly and followed her. He found Asma peering into the oven. "Are you okay?" He asked. Asma stood up straight, and nodded. "Yeah," she said. "Fine." She smiled genuinely: She liked Nick, but if he was happy dating Selena, she wasn't going to interfere. Kevin smiled. "Alright, just concerned," He said. Asma rolled her eyes. "You play a paternal figure more than a cooky rockstar," she said. Kevin laughed his famous laugh. "Yeah, some things you can't help," He replied. Asma turned off the oven and put on an oven mitt, and took out the cake from the oven. She set it on the counter and she and Kevin walked back out into the living room where there was an awkward silence flying around. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mmmmhm, so that's who texted Nick.
